What our phone grades mean

Every grade is fully functional. The grade only describes how much cosmetic wear a phone shows, so you can choose the look and budget that suit you.

The four grades

From the best cosmetic condition to the best value.

Grade A

Excellent

Grade A example: screen, back glass and frame with little to no imperfections

Our top grade. The phone looks close to new, with minimal signs of use.

Cosmetic wear: Minimal

  • Function: fully functional
  • Screen & back glass: little to no imperfections
  • Frame: little to no imperfections

Grade B+

Good

Grade B+ example: light scratches on the screen and back glass, minor marks on the frame

A great-looking phone with light signs of use.

Cosmetic wear: Light

  • Function: fully functional
  • Screen & back glass: light scratches; most can’t be felt with a fingernail
  • Frame: may have minor marks, no dents

Grade B

Fair

Grade B example: moderate scratches on the screen and back glass, scuffs and small dents on the frame

A solid phone for the price, with normal everyday wear.

Cosmetic wear: Moderate

  • Function: fully functional
  • Screen & back glass: moderate scratches you can feel with a fingernail, plus average wear such as scuffs or nicks
  • Frame: average wear such as scuffs, scratches, small dents or nicks

Grade C

Value

Grade C example: heavier signs of wear on the screen, back glass and frame

Our Value Grade. Heavier cosmetic wear, but fully working: the best value for your money.

Cosmetic wear: Heavier

  • Function: fully functional
  • Screen & back glass: heavier signs of wear
  • Frame: heavier wear that may include scuffs, deep scratches, small dents, chips or nicks, with no cracks
